About Soojin Terresa Kim

Soojin Kim is a jewelry designer and the founder of Suu Atelier Inc., based in Los Angeles. With over 20 years of experience in the glass art industry, Soo has been invited to showcase her creations at numerous international craft biennale events, cementing her status as a leading figure.
Soo's interest in jewelry design began in 2005 during a visit to the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, where she discovered the natural beauty of gemstones and their resemblance to colored glass chemical compositions. Following her studies as a Graduate Gemologist, Soo refined her skills as a designer and illustrator in a boutique specializing in rare stone collector estate jewelry in Beverly Hills.
In 2020, Soo founded Suu Atelier Inc., and in 2022, she launched her first collection inspired by the ocean, which she considers her sanctuary and source of meditation. In 2022, Soo's deep reverence for marine creatures and commitment to environmental conservation was evident in her new line, which pays tribute to endangered sea turtles with a portion of each sale donated to their preservation.
Soo's passion for her craft and dedication to the natural world has earned her recognition from industry experts such as the Women's Jewelry Association and De Beers. She was also selected to participate in The Jewelry Loupe Project 2022 cohort and invited as one of the exhibitors in The Design Collective JCK Pavilion at the JCK Vegas show 2023.
